Merits of Doritos Flavors

Hello to Tagan’s family,

I can’t find any photos I have of Tagan, but I can share that I remember him best as the first person to talk with me at a Happy Hour when I first started. Tagan was so welcoming, and chatted with me so willing. I remember him talking about a trip with Tanya, kayaking (or maybe swimming?) with bioluminescent algae. I remember him laughing so much at a Halloween party where we took turns wearing a VR headset with “spooky” rooms to explore. It cracked him up when someone would jump and yell. He was goofy and fun whenever I got to talk with him, probably helped because as I have an admin role, we didn’t talk much science or real work. Instead we got to discuss the merits of Dorito flavors, as I helped him order snacks for the Postdoc Journal Club, and he marveled at getting to be in charge of picking the beer as the senior postdoc. I remember him being so proud and excited at Bodhi’s baby shower in the conference room. That’s where we all put together an alphabet book. Please forgive our poor artistry, but it was so fun to build a gift as a big group. I am proud of my M for Mango. After Bodhi was born, every time I ran into Tagan in the hall, he happily showed me pictures of the baby.

All the best,

Megan
